My Role
Shiba 9 is an NFT-focused promotional project in which I led the end-to-end design and development of both the website and the NFT mascot. Starting from scratch, I was responsible for every step, from concept development to final visual execution.
The main challenge was creating a design that captured the brand’s core values: energy, technology, and loyalty. Through iterative feedback and testing, I refined both the visual style and interaction design to ensure consistency with the brand identity.
This project combines the themes of “Shiba Dog” and “lucky charm”, while incorporating the “IT dog” character from IT solution company background. The design aims to recreate the atmosphere of coding tools, with appropriate input-state graphical elements, and involves creating a unique mascot.
In addition, playful features are added to the design to increase user engagement and retention, enhancing the brand’s interactive experience.
The inspiration comes from the Hong Kong slang term “IT dog,” which refers to IT professionals and conveys the idea of rapid, lightning-fast development.
The overall appearance leans toward a lively and energetic vibe, featuring numerous window and coding input elements, a mascot, soft color tones, and fonts reminiscent of 80s-era computer displays. These features help the website stand out from the crowd.
